Abstract The optimization of cargo loading and transportation are two highly considered problems (namely “3L-CVRP”). combination both has attracted increasing interest in the past decades. Hereby, 2D or 3D items have to be transported from one depot a given set customers using homogeneous fleet vehicles. Each route must provided with feasible packing plan taking various constraints into account. Combining increases complexity solution approaches, leading higher difficulty check results for correctness. To support research progress enable transparency structures, this paper provides an overview recent literature, problem formulations, best-known solutions. Furthermore, we introduce open-source tools: “Solution Validator” checks feasibility solutions terms constraints. “Visualizer” views visualizes In vehicle routing view, tour corresponding schedule displayed. position each item space is demonstrated. views, it possible highlight violated items. Besides combined problem, tool can used also (e.g. container loading). source codes tools available at GitHub C++ Java easily integrated other researchers’ code.
